Mad dash

The day before Adam comes home from the slope is always a mad dash to get the house cleaned up, all of the laundry, that has been piling up for 2 weeks, done and make sure that I have dinners for the weekend planned and ready to cook. I am not sure why I don't just keep up on everything daily while he is gone, but the Thursday mad dash is really getting old! Organization has NEVER been my strong suit, and I struggle with it all of the time. If anyone has any advice for trying to stay organized I would love to hear it!!!
So my children have, once again, pushed me to the end of my rope. It is absolutely driving me mad that Landon sneaks food into his bedroom and hides it from me. Last night I found a banana in his bed, which he has shoved all the way down to the bottom of his sheets, smashing banana goo all over in the process. I had to change his bed at 8:00 before he could get in bed. When I disciplined him, he just gave me lip service, he said, "I'm sorry mommy", and, "no, no, no...", I said, "no food in your room!!", he said, " Ohhhh", like he had no idea that he had broken the rules. It is not like I don't feed my children, they get 3 fully rounded meals and snacks every day. Any time they ask for something to eat or drink, they get something, I don't keep food from them. Why do they feel the need to sneak it?? Short of locking the food up, I am not sure what else to do. I have had it with crumbled crackers in their sheets and on the floor!!!! Does anyone Else's children do this???
I try to not let my kids watch to much tv, but in the morning when I am having my coffee I let them watch a couple cartoons before we get going for the day. Now, I know that every parent has certain cartoons that they allow their children watch and certain ones that they don't, for example, in our house, Little Einsteins is okay and Sponge Bob is a no go, I don't like the show's content . What really gets me is the show that is acceptable content-wise, but is so annoying that it makes me want to scream. The show that my kids love, that makes me crazy, is The Fresh Beat Band. I think it is the dumbest show in the world and it drives me nuts, but my kids absolutely love it. Does anyone else have cartoons like this???

Toddlers, grrr!

Now don't get me wrong, I love my children with every inch of my being, but some days they make me absolutely so crazy that I don't know which way is up! Today Landon did everything he could to make me mad, on purpose. I would say put the pillow on the couch, he would throw it on the floor, just to tick me off. Lillie, my little opportunist, considers every confrontation that Landon and I have an opportunity for her to get aways with something that she KNOWS she shouldn't be doing. For example, while Landon was getting in trouble for dumping my coffee in on the floor, Lillie was in the kitchen dumping the coffee grinder that was full of coffee grinds into my pot of coffee, ruining my whole pot of coffee. Not a great way to start the day off!! If they were not so darn cute, they would have perished from this earth long ago! Anyone else have toddler trouble??? Any advice??
